CLUB HISPÁNICO ACCOMMODATION

This is our on-site residence, 95-bedroom residence and is almost certainly the largest and most popular year-round, on-site, language school residence in Spain. Together with the 25 classrooms, 4 terraces, swimming pool, restaurant, dance studio…….., this is one of the essential elements that helps to define the experience of studying in Malaca Instituto.

About 50% of all our students, including practically all our Executive, Diplomatic and 50s+ clients, choose this accommodation.

Not only does it provide comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price, but it creates a campus which is sufficiently extensive for everyone to find their own space and enjoy it with the friends of their choosing.

The range of rooms reflects the wide range of our students and, if this type of accommodation sounds like what you are looking for, you will probably find a room type to suit you. You can choose from the following:

• Standard Single rooms: these are small rooms and, as such, are ideal for school and student-aged clients who value the privacy of their own room and en-suite shower and toilet, above the luxury of greater space.
•Twin rooms: our classic room for 2 people to share you can even book half a twin and look forward to a new-found roommate.

If you would like a Twin room for yourself, you can book it for single use except in the High Season.
• Triple rooms: ideal for school groups or older teenagers coming with friends or wanting to share with others.

Click on any picture to see more about the rooms on Pinterest or see our Gallery below.

• Executive Rooms: modern or traditional furnishings, but all providing a surprisingly high level of comfort for a language school residence. For single use or sharing with your partner or friend.
• Executive Studios: Accommodation of choice of our Executive-type clients, these are our top-of-the-range rooms, offering a much more interesting option than being isolated in a 4-star hotel! For single use or sharing with your partner or friend.

FLOW & ART Executives Rooms

Malaca Instituto invited artists from all over the world to create artworks for our students to sleep in. Our artist rooms are a collection of exceptional works. The artists transformed our rooms into a dreamland, each room is decorated in a different and exuberant manner, bringing an eclectic and innovative look to our 5Th floor.

Since its launch in 2014, nine artists have worked in this project (Flow & Art) which is still open to any artist who would like to take part in this creative work (just contact us to send your proposal)

SHARED STUDENT APARTMENTS

For young adults from 18 years and above who value their independence and want the most economic accommodation option, these apartments could be the best choice. They are usually shared between 4 and 7 students. Each student has their own or shared bedroom and share all the other facilities of the apartment: living room, bathrooms, kitchen and other common areas.

The apartments tend to be the accommodation of choice of our long-stay students but can also be booked for stays of 2 weeks or more. They are intended exclusively for our young adults in the 18-35 age group. For other ages we have apartments for exclusive use consult.

Students enjoy the camaraderie and internationalism of the apartments, making friends and frequently taking it in turns to cook meals from different countries.

Our apartments are not the typical basic apartments, but have a higher level of comfort and benefits.

All our apartments are guaranteed to have the following minimum standards and services:

• Kitchen – gas or electric cooking rings and micro-wave or conventional oven
• TV
• clothes washing machine
• free WiFi
• Services – there is NO extra charge for electricity, gas, water, etc.
• Safe deposit box in each bedroom
• Access to swimming pool

• Maintenance – unlike privately rented apartments, we provide a full maintenance service at no extra cost.

• The students are responsible for general cleaning and our staff visit once every 2 weeks to clean the general areas.

• The only extra charge is the € 10 per week for cleaning. Sheets are changed each week. And an extra cost for air conditioning, if requested.
Otherwise the students are responsible for keeping the apartments tidy (washing up dishes, keeping things in order etc)

The student apartments are self-catering and you have a full equipment kitchen to prepare your own meals but if you like, you can reserve our pre-paid meal plans with an excellent value for money and enjoy your meals in our restaurant at Malaca Instituto residence.

Don’t forget you are in a shared apartment with students from different countries and cultures, this requires certain rules to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Please, read the student handbook

HOST FAMILY ACCOMMODATION

For students wanting to experience a typical Spanish way of life, this can be the best option. It is especially suitable for younger students on our Young Adult courses.

A member of staff always visits our host families to make sure they are appropriate. A “host family” will probably not be a “nuclear” family of 2 parents and 2 children. It is more likely that the children have grown up and left home and it could be a single person. The accommodation may be in an independent house but is more likely to be in a block of flats or some other “communal” development.

We look for friendly people who will have time for you and will make you feel at home. You will be assigned a single or twin room, as booked, and will have your own study space and room to store your clothes and belongings. You will have free access to a shared bathroom and to the common areas of the home.

Please note that your host is providing you with a meal plan and that additional use of the kitchen and refrigerator is something you should discuss and agree with the host. When we assign you a family, we take into account your preferences (vegetarian diet, pets, no smokers, animals, etc.)

Host families provide accommodation and half board (breakfast and lunch) or full board for students under 16. If you would rather have dinner, perhaps you can reach an agreement with them, but in Spain the main meal is lunch and that is when everybody will gather together and you will get a better chance of practising your Spanish.

Under 16 year-olds (except in school groups) must stay in Host Families and must take the full-board option.

We ask that you try to understand and, above all, respect the customs, traditions and values of your host family. It is up to you to adapt your way of life to that of the family.
After all it is you who wants to experience the real Spanish way of life. You will need to be flexible and to give up a degree of your personal independence.
