Oil route

Experience authenticity away from tourist routes..

A pointillist landscape of olive trees planted on endless rows. This thousand-year-old tree provides the basic ingredient for Mediterranean cuisine: olive oil.

We will visit the cementery in Casabermeja, one of the most famous and peculiar in Andalucía. It was built in the 18th Century and has been declared a Historical Artistic Monument.

We will learn how “green gold” is made, visit old almazaras (olive-oil mills), a present-day oil factory, organic farms and museums and we will enjoy a traditional meal in a typical inn.
