Antequera and The Torcal

Antequera is known not only for its many monuments (dolmens, churches and collegiate churches, convents, palaces...), but also for its beautiful scenery, including El Torcal, an amazing karstic setting, beautifully mysterious, which takes us back in time millions of years.

As well as many monuments, we will visit important prehistoric remains, some dolmens dating from 2,500 BC.

One of the highlights is the Peña de los Enamorados (Rock of the Lovers), and its legend of a Christian man and a Muslim woman who could not live with the social impositions that stood in the way of their love and finally took their lives here.
