Many of our students, especially the younger ones, request an airport transfer. We organise return transfers from Malaga International Airport (AGP). The school is about 20-30 minutes drive from the airport.
There are plenty of taxis at the airport. However the advantage of booking a transfer is that the driver will know who you are and where you want to go, thus avoiding any communication difficulties if you do not speak much Spanish. We receive several thousand students each year coming from many different countries. Sometimes, some of the students have difficulties adapting to life in Spain, they might suffer from homesickness or they may wish to discuss some other matter of a personal nature. We have experience of most situations and there are specific staff responsible for this area. The school Director (Ida) is also always willing to speak privately with any student.
• Information and counselling
 While you are in Malaga you will want to make the most of your stay and will probably need to ask for information. The first point of contact for information is the Reception desk of the Club Hispánico. However any of our 60+ staff will be happy to answer questions and give advice.
Some of our students are studying Spanish in order to study at university in Spain afterwards. We can help provide advice and information about how to apply to university in Spain.
Airport transfers information
Malaga International Airport (or to use its correct title “Aeropuerto Pablo Picasso, Málaga”) is the main airport for the south of Spain, one of Europe’s major tourist destinations. It is only 20 minutes drive from the school and the point of arrival for the great majority of our students.
Your transfer driver:
If you book a transfer there will be a driver waiting for you. AutoSol is the company contracted to provide our airport transfers. Their representatives will be holding a sign with the name of the school, the student’s name and flight number. They will be dressed in a light blue shirt and dark grey trousers.
Terminal 1: you will find the AutoSol driver in the public waiting area immediately after luggage collection.
Terminal 2: you will find the AutoSol driver immediately after passing through the first set of glass doors (after collecting your luggage) in the area reserved for “meet and greet” services.
Flights delays: if for any reason your flight is delayed it is most important that you make every effort to contact our emergency number (see below) to let them know of your new arrival time in Malaga.
Non-arrival of luggage: if your luggage does not arrive with you, you must complete a form in the lost-luggage office in the baggage collection hall. This process can take some time and it is extremely important that if this happens you make every effort either to phone us to advise us that you have arrived but are delayed or make contact with the driver waiting for you on the other side of the glass doors.
