Malaca Instituto is frequently subjected to independent and rigorous inspection of its services and facilities. As a result we have various accreditations and can provide other academic references as well as being members of prestigious international associations such as EAQUALS and IALC.
1. Accredited Centre of the Instituto Cervantes
Spain’s national cultural Institute has developed a scheme to accredit Schools of Spanish. Schools must pass an inspection with published criteria which is carried out by an authorised examining centre. Malaca Instituto is proud to be an “accredited centre” of the Instituto Cervantes.
2. EAQUALS - European Association for Quality Language Services
This is probably the most prestigious inspection scheme available to private sector language schools on a Europe-wide basis and our membership allows us to state that:
“Malaca Instituto’s high educational standards and compliance with the EAQUALS Charters are verified by rigorous inspections every three years”
3. IALC - International Association of Language Centres
IALC is an association of high quality language schools with members found all over the world. Membership is based on inspection and continued adherence to a strict Code of Ethics.
4. CSN: Swedish government scheme
Malaca Instituto was one of the first Schools of Spanish to be allowed to received grant-aided students from Sweden. Swedish students should ask for details.
5. Länekassen: Norwegian government scheme
Norwegian students wishing to improve their Spanish for educational purposes may find that they can get aid from the Norwegian student aid office.
6. Din CertCo
This prestigious German quality control organisation confirms that Malaca Instituto meets the criteria of the European Norm 14804 for the language travel industry.
7. Bildungsurlaub
Malaca Instituto Courses are “recognised” for Bildungsurlaub by various German state governments. German students should ask for details.
American Universities and Academic Credit (US College programmes)
In recent years the following US universities have sent students to Malaca Instituto:
- Duke University
- St Thomas University (Minnesota)
- Mississippi State University
- New Mexico
- Arkansas State
- Eastern Illinois
- Santa Barbara College
- Dayton University
This implies that our programmes have been inspected by senior academics of prestigious US academic institutions who have acknowledged them to be satisfactory for the award of academic credit.
If you are a US student and want to gain academic credit for your studies at Malaca Instituto you should ask your International Office and gain prior agreement that credit will be awarded.
We know that most of our other US college students gain academic credit for their studies with us via their own universities.
If you are a faculty member of a US college wanting to find a quality destination for a faculty-led study tour, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
