Our standard general Spanish course, provided at all levels from complete beginner to advanced.

The level test on the first day ensures that you are placed in a class at your specific level. There are a minimum of 6 main levels and often 15 or more.

Levels

This course is designed to enable you to rapidly improve your ability to communicate in general Spanish. It covers all aspects of the Spanish language at your level.

Teaching Philosophy

As you progress to higher levels, elements of Spanish culture and general knowledge about Spain are introduced as appropriate.

You may choose 20, 24 or 26 lessons per week. 20 lessons form the standard course with a maximum of 10 students per class. The extra 4 or 6 lessons are focussed on oral communication skills and are in reduced class sizes of 6 students to enable maximum participation.

Except at the most advanced level, we use our own textbooks both for general Spanish and Oral communication skills (Dímelo)

to reinforce a specific area of your Spanish ask for extra individual lessons.

If you are planning to stay for more than 24 weeks we recommend that you consider the Spanish plus Hispanic Studies programme.

Spanish Intensive Course	At a glance
Contents	General Spanish. Lessons integrating the 4 skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening with grammatical structures and vocabulary development. Aspects of Spanish culture and way of life are introduced progressively as and when appropriate. Extra, concentrated oral communication practice (24 or 26 lessons)

Timetable	20 lessons: 8.30 – 12.30 or 16.00 – 20.00 (subject to change) oral communication skills: 12.40 – 14.30
Malaca Instituto exams	Every 2 weeks during class time.
Certificates	Certificates of Attendance and Certificates of Linguistic Competence for each Exam passed.
Notes	On the extremely rare occasions that a student is the only person on their chosen course at their level, we reserve the right to offer a reduced number of 1-1 lessons. The 24 and 26 lesson options are available for a maximum of 16 weeks
